Pastas, bread, stocks and sauces are all made in-house and include the ever-popular Gnocchi di Luigi - house-made pasta served with napoli and ricotta or the Spaghettini al Granchio – cherry tomato, zucchini, crab meat, lobster bisque, chile.

The Gradi menu has over 15 selections of Neapolitan pizza combinations from the Margherita Versace, to standouts such as the popular Suprema - pizza in bianco, fior di latte, pumpkin, rocket, pinenuts and goat cheese or the Quattro Formaggi - bianco, fior di latte, grana Padano, and Emmental. The differential of 400 Gradi’s pizzas are that the dough and toppings are authentically prepared according to strict Neapolitan standards.

We went for dinner on Saturday after Valentines and were quickly seated (had reservations). Our waiter welcomed us, and mentioned a few specials left over from Valentines - salmon, filet Cesear salad, and wine. For an appetizer he recommended the fritto misto (calamari, zucchini, and artichoke hearts deep-fried with an aioli and arugula) which was good, and the discounted wine Contesa was equally good. Once we went to order dinner, my wife went with the salmon special and I ordered the Tagliata Di Manzo, even though the waiter pushed the filet salad again which my response was I wanted something different. A few minutes later he came back that what I ordered was not available, so I relented to the filet salad special. Our entrees came out a short time later and my wife's salmon and everything else on her plate was lukewarm. My steak was overcooked and flavorless, and not the 6-7oz the waiter mentioned several times, closer to 4oz. The Cesear was baby romaine that was not chopped and difficult to cut with a butter life, while the croutons as hard as month old bread left in the sun (Kroger croutons are better). Trying to save the evening we ordered the cannoli for dessert, but they too were awful. The filling tasted like it had sand in it, and there was enough food coloring in the pistachio filling you would think it was St Patrick's. I only gave it two stars because the couple next to us said the pizza and carbonara was good, so maybe had we stayed away from the 'specials' (which in hindsight sounded like 'we ordered too much, please push them' so we don't have waste) we would have done better.

The Valentine’s Day special was super trash. $85 a person? Such a scam. The wine was a $20 bottle from Target, marked up. The steak was super small with 4 of the smallest pieces of broccolini. All 3 deserts were disgusting. Please offer the normal menu for Valentine’s Day. When I initially booked on open table, there was no notice of the $85 a person fixed menu. No one wants to pay 170+ for 2 people for a below mediocre limited menu.

Went for Valentines Dinner. Ambience is 5 stars. The staff are friendly and nice. The service was a little shaky with the servers or food runners forgetting or misplacing food orders. The appetizers and entree were ok, it was a pre fixe menu in anticipation of the high volume so that’s probably why it lacked that extra special touch. The fillet minon was cooked to perfection and came with broccolini and mushrooms. The dessert was disappointing, we ordered the tiramisu which was served late, but on a chocolate base but totally frozen inside. They had us try another lemon dessert and another strawberry one but they were all not convincing. I would love to give it another try when they are not as busy and order other items, but I’d give this experience a 3.8/5
