    We had a great experience. Food and service were excellent. Juan Carlo, Manuel and Jolene did a fantastic job to keep informed , provide recommendation and make sure we were taken care. I had the bee tartare, king salmon and chocolate tarts. They all were wonderful. My son liked agnolotti and peto (local fish) with a wonderful sauce.

    Waited an hour for table when we had a reservation for 8 pm. Seated at 9 pm. Was told we would be comped for our wine. Was comped for one glass of champagne. Bill came out to almost 700 dollars for 2 people. However, servers were extremely kind. Restaurants fault.

    We made a reservation for 8 people at 8:30 pm and at 6:20pm received a phone call from the hostess who said to me: “lady, you should arrive by 8:30 and you know we have a 15 minute late grace period”. “Lady”…. I tried to dismiss this to a lack of proper etiquette when talking to a client. But it went from that to worse. Once we got to the restaurant there was a long waiting line by the entrance. It looked as if they weren’t prepared to deal with a second seating. We were standing for about 45 mins. Everybody in the line got seated but us. First we were told by the hostess that the “previous table were on desserts” but the Manager said they were just setting up the table. Once seated our waiters were very nice and on point but the kitchen was obviously overwhelmed. Each course took a long time and by midnight we were still waiting on desserts. Missed the whole expensive party we booked upstairs. In the many years our family gets together for New Year’s Eve and party at a hotel restaurant, THIS is the first time we encounter such lacking logistics. I hope the people they served the first seating were worth it because we are definitely not doing this at the Vanderbilt again. Pity because the servers were awesome and food was truly delicious. All dampened by incompetence in seating people (not only for us but for everyone in that very long line that had to wait almost as much as we did).

    I have been there multiple times and this meal was subpar. Service super slow and meal poorly paced. Our entrees were under cooked. The bread pudding was frozen. For the cost, should be perfect every time. Never going back.

    I ordered Veal as my main entree and my wife had Halibut as her main entree. My veal is so tasteless so does the vegetable. I can even finish my food after two bites. My wife’s halibut is so fishy that she can’t finish even half of the portion. It’s too pricy for this kind of food quality at the $145 four-course fixed price. I definitely don’t recommend it at all.
