18th & 21st brings something fresh and classic to Columbia, Maryland. Named after the Constitutional Amendment that enacted Prohibition and then subsequent Amendment that repealed it, 18th & 21st promises to bring back a bygone era through an elevated, tailored evening experience. Our food and cocktails reflect the feel of prohibition supper clubs. This not to say we're stuck in the past, but rather that we try and emulate the style of that era. That means beautiful presentation, careful crafting, and perfect pairings to keep your night on beat. Combined with live music, this creates an unparalleled experience for the discerning and adventurous looking for a sophisticated evening. Due to the nature of the experience at 18th & 21st we request that all diners be over the age of eighteen.

Let me begin by saying our server was AMAAZING!!! The ambience and music was perfect! The food was not good at all. The seafood appetizer was too vinegary that it took my voice away… and I live vinegar. The pork chop did not have any seasoning and was tough and dry. The red snapper was not seasoned well. The bread pudding was thick and dry and even if they added more of the drizzle of sauce it would have not made it better. The apple blossom dessert was blah and came out like warm. The food experience was underwhelming especially for the cost. I would come back for the atmosphere, music, drinks, and service only.

Dinner for 2. Visited on a Saturday night in early March, had an 8 pm reservation. 18th and 21st is lovely and I would definitely come again for the drinks, jazz music, and ambiance. Had the scallops, red snapper, caesar salad, and mushroom soup. The food is ok, I’d rate it a 6 out of 10, although I had soft crab sliders which were so wonderful that I would rate 8 out of 10. I also had two delicious pear mojitos. Our server Abel was absolutely awesome. The band and music were perfect, and despite it being a place that offers live music, it never gets so loud that you can’t hold a conversation. I would definitely go again.

That wasn’t my first time going, but it was my first time on a Thursday evening. It was a much smaller crowd, which was fine. The service was great and so was the live jazz, but it’s more alive on Friday and Saturday evenings. I still had a good time!

Kevin Howard was fantastic and so pleasant. Abel was also very helpful with the wine order and Saphia with the food. Casey was efficient. Going back this weekend.
