   We went for the Santa brunch. The service was outstanding and the restaurant and hotel were very cool (private booth with curtain 10/10). Santa popped in and we had a good time. However, the food was meh. The options were limited and expensive for very basic dishes (could’ve been because this was a limited santa brunch menu). I will say the star of the show was the cinnamon rolls. They were the only thing worth the money. We may try it out again on a normal brunch or dinner in the future but probably wouldn’t come back for the Santa brunch.

   The pork prime rib was delicious and new favorite. It was so much better than a pork chop cut! Prepared tender and juicy with a well balanced au jus. Everything form drinks to food to the service was perfect!👌

   The wait staff was incredible. Very attentive and helpful. I gave 3 stars for service because of the hostesses. It was a very energetic (noisy) evening, everyone in a very celebratory mood in the bar and we were sat very close. I requested a quieter table as I have a hearing deficit and wear hearing aids. Many 2 tops were still available but they would not move us. I made reservation weeks in advance. They were just unfriendly and not very kind This was our second time there and the food and wait staff are exceptional! They did make up for that for sure. We will be repeat customers.

   We were sat in a really nice cozy booth ~ (which I loved) ~ I had the scallops and my husband had the bison ~ both were great, but I won’t pass up the bison next time. Dessert suggestion was the carrot cake, which may not sound too wild, but let me tell nothing was left on the plate. If you love dessert do not pass this up. Very wide selection of drink options as well. Look forward to going back.

   Really lively restaurant. Riley was a great wait staff. Food: excellent. Ambiance very nice. We will absolutely return!

    Note to management- Do not take 8:45 pm bookings if you are going to rudely rush your customers through their dinner for the next hour. The worst dining experience I’ve ever had anywhere. I had just picked up my daughter from the airport and wanted to have a relaxed dinner with her and a friend after not seeing them for sometime. My friend got there right at 8:45 and upon arrival was told that the kitchen was shutting down. My daughter and I arrived a few minutes later. We were rushed to order drinks and dinner, rushed to eat, & rushed to pay. All in all the most unrelaxed and uncomfortable dining experience I’ve ever had. The food was sub par and our server seemed miserable and was obviously in a rush to go home. I live in Franklin and have been dining here for the last 3 years. I knew that their ratings have been down… but my daughter requested to eat there. To make matters worse, our server brought the bill while we were still eating and was grabbing at our dishes with food still on them. They even brightened the lights an hour into our meal. 1799, this is the last time. There are plenty of other restaurants to go to where our patronage is appreciated.
