   The only negatives would be no waiting area. We had a 7:30 reservation and waited for 20 minutes. Then our waiter was pulled away for an emergency so I sat with my baked potato getting cold without butter or sour cream for over 15 min before requesting from someone else. The manager more than made up for it though and comped our drinks and dessert. Wonderful food and definitely will go back.

   Wonderful birthday dinner. As always, the food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Saturday night had a full house and the noise level was definitely louder than I’ve experienced before, but not so loud that you couldn’t have a conversation at the table

   This is not our first time in 1776. We come here for special occasions. We love the selections, service and atmosphere. If you want a great steak this is the restaurant to come to.

   An excellent dining experience. Our server Therese was very pleasant and checked in on us frequently. We enjoyed the piano music and ambiance. The surf and turf with nice sized lobster tail was delicious and perfectly broiled. The filet with it was prepared beautifully as well, but it’s petite size was a little too small for my liking, but when paired with the tail was adequate. The filet with long grain rice and mixed vegetables was good. It was ordered medium-well and that’s exactly how it came. The wedge salad was crunchy as it should be. The included bread service was appreciated. We weren’t rushed but also didn’t have to wait too long for our food so the meal timing was ideal. All in all a wonderful evening.

   John was our server and he was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and especially the steaks. He was very attentive and friendly. The food was very good only issue we had was asked for the steak to be medium rare and one came out well done. Nice ambiance but quite loud.

   The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was perfect. We had the Oysters Rockefeller, French Onion Soup and a Wedge salad to start. Entrees were the Trio Filets and the Delmonico Steak. Both cooked perfectly and were delicious. The Service was impeccable, our Server was just wonderful. Live nearby and will return.

   From our waitress Kathy all the food was awesome the steaks were perfectly cooked. And awesome cuts and excellent taste Thank you to the staff into the chef in the kitchen. We really enjoyed our meal last night. Five stars. Keep up the great work thank you.

   Fantastic atmosphere, food and staff. Always our special occasion restaurant. The owner always comes by your table to be sure everything is good. Highly recommend 1776.

    Both meals were excellent. The crab cakes served with healthy veggies, tasty mashed with cranberry sauce Over the top . The banana cream pie was just toooo good
