   This was our first visit to Pucquio. Really enjoyed the meal. Kevin is an attentive and enthusiastic waiter! Overall a great bday dinner out. We will definitely be back.

   As a Peruvian, this restaurant is hands down my favorite Peruvian place in the Bay Area. The drinks, dishes and appetizers are all authentic and prepared expertly. Highly, highly recommended

   Our favorite East Bay restaurant — love everything about this adorable little restaurant. The host and chefs are beyond warm & friendly (sit at the 4-seat counter & watch the intricate plating), not to mention highly skilled; the wine list is all well-chosen $60 “value” bottles that, like everything about this restaurant, “punch above their weight”; the ceviches have a well-earned reputation for being the best in the area; each of the dishes displays an extra touch reminiscent of fine dining (i.e., the quality of the beef in the lomo saltado, the freshness of the impeccable seafood). The vibes are great (we always leave in a good mood) but this restaurant runs succeeds on a whole lot more than vibes. And, it’s great value!

   What a wonderful experience for my wife’s birthday. We shared a Mosacio Cabichero. Yum. Beautiful presentation, just the right spiciness. Our waiter,Kevin. Was very accommodating. We wanted a bottle of white wine. He brought two for sampling for us to choose. I had the classic Lomo Saltado . The best I’ve ever had . Again a beautiful presentation. Meat was placed on a tomato wedge on a seared slice of onion. Meat was perfectly cooked. My wife had their version of paella. 4 large shrimp, numerous little squid and some rock fish. All served on a bed of Black rice. We’ll be back. On another interesting note. All bottles of wine were $60, nothing out of range.

    One of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. The food and the incredible hospitality keep me coming back again and again. Everyone in this establishment is a gem.
