Pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. Food was very good. The atmosphere was old school clubby - not reminiscent of any bowling alley. Lots of sports screens but they didn’t dominate room. Very good service. This reservation got us past Broadmoor guard to valet park during busy holiday season.

Christmas so service probably affected but server was absent and absentminded. Forgot everything we asked her for and we had to enlist other servers for help. Food was bland and barely warm. Those in our group who got burgers were happy the rest of us were disappointed.

Absolutely would not recommend. Took my family for a Christmas Eve dinner and was extremely disappointed. Appetizers came out cold and only 2 minutes before the main course. Had to send salad back because the chicken was so dry it was like eating jerky. The wagyu brisket sandwich tasted like a sloppy Joe. Had to call waitress over multiple times to check on food status or get a refill of water. Would not recommend. Only upside was that the manager was kind and comped the appetizers and salad without out us asking.

We enjoyed our dinner at Play - we had a nice sized table for our party and it wasn’t very loud so we were able to hold a conversation. The staff put a sports game on that we requested and made sure we had everything we needed. The food took a little long to come out but it was tasty once we did receive it. We always have a nice time at Play and this time was no different!

They were out of 7 of their menu items, including 2 that we ordered. The burgers were good, but the fries were dry and lukewarm. The tortilla chips for the nachos, were flavorless, and the toppings meager, leaving you with a mound of plain, tasteless chips. For a 5 star hotel, and for the prices they charge, the food and lack of selection, was disappointing at this particular restaurant.

We had hoped to bowl, but were informed upon arrival that we could not because we booked on Opentable. But Opentable is what the Broadmoor uses on their direct website. They said you must call or do so in peraon ans thwy were booked for next 3 hours. Our burgers were way overcooked and dry (we order medium rare-medium, they were well done no pink and hockey pucks). The food took a very long time to arrive at the table, 45 minutes from when we sat down. The server never checked on us or how the food came out and the meal for four (one of which was a child) was over $200. Asked if they validate parking, and they do not. I won't be back.

Broadmoor is a Colorado Springs gem, and a wonderful place to visit - especially during the holidays. BUT, even though we have stayed there, and dined there over 15 years, it is becoming unaffordable except for the very well to do. Sorry, but a $28 cheeseburger at the Play restaurant is just not reasonable.

I’m never one to leave a review, however our food experience was so poor I feel it is necessary to comment. We were group of 5 and only one person in our group enjoyed their meal. Food was terrible and highly overpriced for the lack of quality.

We had a blast at Play. The drinks and crab Rangoon dip were delicious. There was just 2 of us so we bowled almost 3 games in our hour reservation. We will definitely be back.
