The Prescott, located at the corner of Beech and Preston Street in Ottawa, is one of the oldest licensed drinking establishments in the city, with roots tracing back to 1934. Originally the Preston Hotel, it was renamed The Prescott in 1941, symbolizing its role as the last watering hole between Ottawa and Prescott, 100 km down the highway. During WWII, co-owner Giuseppe Costantini, an Italian-Canadian, was interned by the Canadian government as an "enemy alien," temporarily shutting down the hotel. Despite these challenges, The Prescott continued under the sole ownership of his partner, Antonio Disipio, and became a fixture in the community. Over the years, it has hosted family events, sponsored sports teams, and remained an iconic spot for locals.     Even though we went during lunch hour, it was very quiet! Only a handful of other couples were there. Restaurant was clean and ambiance is nice. Food came out in reasonable time and the server was really nice and accommodating. Food was decent for the price. Cocktails are fun and the Caesar's are pretty extravagant.

    Love the Prescott but some errors with the pizza I ordered. Still good, but the toppings were wrong and they didn’t do anything to correct it. Super Bowl was great! Live action and great vibes.
