It’s a busy spot but the personal attention from the moment you walk in is wonderful. Everyone who attends at the table is so knowledgable about what they are putting in front of you, the attention to detail is awesome. Service is excellent, so attentive and personable but not intrusive. We absolutely support Richmond Station’s no tip model where their pricing includes the ability to pay a fair living wage to servers. The vibe is great, the room is alive, the open kitchen is amazing to watch, but you never struggle to share conversation at your table. Since Marvin left 7Enoteca in Oakville and took the helm at Vela, we have wanted to get round to check it out. Fortunately today we were able to dine at Vela and it did not disappoint! (Other than Marvin not being in for todays service). The environment is stunning. The food is amazing. The service was attentive. (Many thanks Sandy, not only on the food advice, but the wine advice as well!) We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and look forward to returning to try the tasting menu at the counter.
