- JCJohnCVancouver / British Columbia •3 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoThis was our first Omakase experience. First I’ll start with the two minor negatives- we were seated around the corner of the bar, which just didn’t feel as comfortable stuck up against the wall. The soup with mushrooms had a few small pieces of grit in it. The fish was incredible though- so fresh and perfectly seasoned. I don’t think I’ve ever had fish that good! Sushi will never be the same! The service was perfect. The chef was positive and friendly. Be prepared to shell out though- 3 people with 3 cocktails, hot tea and no dessert was $600! It was a special experience for us- and the birthday note on the bar was a nice touch.More infoSushi Kappo Tamura - Omakase at Sushi BarPrice: Very Expensive• Sushi• Lake Union / Eastlake•4.8
- EEmmaDenver / Colorado •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoThis place is incredible - everyone must go! Every single member of the staff who I passed upon entry welcomed me in warmly. I was a little early for my reservation and enjoyed a drink at the bar with the super kind and knowledgeable bartender. Someone came and got me when it was time for the omakase experience, moved me to my place setting at the quaint counter seamlessly, carrying my beverage for me. I inquired about tip as I did not want the bartender to miss out and was informed they operate with a tip pool. I was solo and was seated next to another solo diner and we had wonderful conversation and got to enjoy the experience together. The chefs were so kind and talented, each bite was incredible and made with such high quality ingredients. As a former fine dining server and restaurant manager I was in love and blown away by the service. I could tell everyone who took care of me was happy to be there, and that means a lot when you shell out for this kind of thing. It felt warm and luxurious the entire time. My plate and place setting were crumbed/wiped down as necessary, every item was described in detail, I could go on and on. I am SO happy I found this place and had this experience.
