Best American Restaurants in Leaside

Just came here today with my boyfriend for his birthday lunch. I have been here before once previously, however it was his first time there. We were greeted by Melissa at the front when we arrived. She was super sweet, wished my boyfriend a happy birthday on the spot and took us to our seats. We ordered the fresh burrata and arugula salad to start along with a matcha latte and mimosa. We got the roadside lobster roll and roasted chicken with a side of charred broccolini. Honestly, the food was amazing. I remembered the roasted chicken being good the first time I was here and had to come back for it and even after many years of not going, it is still just as good as I remembered it to be. It is moist and tender. The food was spectacular and reasonably priced. They came out with a cookie and candle for my boyfriend’s birthday as well, which I did not expect. We also got a butterscotch brûlée, which was a little on the sweeter side, but it was light and airy, making it a perfect way to end a delicious meal. The service was excellent and the staff were very efficient. Our server Kim offered great service and was very attentive. She refilled our waters and was super friendly. Melissa was super nice and sweet, also very accommodating and made the birthday experience for my boyfriend incredible. The dishes we had quite tasty, grilled chicken, Caesar salad, salmon, press, and citrus noodles. The ambiance was lively, but a little too noisy for us. Our server was pleasant and helpful.

Naomi Raha and Alexandra were all amazing and worked like a true team! The drinks were amazing and the food made us wanting to try more. The ambience was great. Not too loud so we could have a conversation but nice and spacious all around. Can’t wait til the patio opens up in the summer.

Had a business lunch at Joey’s today, and it was excellent. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared, while the service was attentive and seamless. Highly recommend it for a great lunch spot!
