Best American Restaurants in Greenville

Columbus Inn is the best choice for brunch in this area. Excellent food and service and moderate prices. The only criticism I have is that when there is a large group, and there often is, the noise level is really loud. This is Moore the fault of guests who seem to need to out show each other. But if you go at 10 AM, you can generally Have a quiet table and a very nice meal indeed.

Had an amazing time for our first experience at The Back Burner. Diana was quick to ask if it was our first time & once we said it was she talked us around the menu. Telling us that they sell crazy amounts of the “better cheddar”, you get a great amount of flatbread which has a homemade pita chip vibe. We had the crab bisque which was so good my fiancé almost forgot to share any with me! We split the wedge salad, which was so refreshing. He got the short rib and I got the salmon Wellington. We had to get all that bagged up so we could try out some dessert. We got the raspberry crème brûlée, it was so tasty.

It was the night before Valentines Day it was super crowded but they handled everything so well! Everyone stepped in to help including hostesses, waitstaff, bartenders and Managers to clean tables and move. Hairs around bring food out whatever it took. We took a seat in the bar area and gave up our reservation for people waiting. It was fun!

First of all, our server, Ilene, was the best, as was our hostess, Amanda! Second, the food was great! My granddaughter and I split the grilled chicken sandwich, which was plenty for each of us with fries, all very delicious. My husband enjoyed his salad. Third, the music was so loud we could hardly enjoy conversation with each other. But overall, our visit was great.

Service was great when the waitress actually showed up. Menu was odd but what we ordered we liked. Would have ordered more after apps if our waitress ever returned. We called it a night and went to grab wings. Good concept poor execution.
