The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore.     This was our first visit to the lodge. We were really impressed. A lovely big restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient. There seemed to be a lot of staff about. The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was very well cooked and they had good sized portions. A really nice place I am sure we will be back.

    Main meal and wine was great indeed really nice steak, desserts were terrible cheery crème brûlée was more like scrambled egg and the pear tartartan was a slice that had come out of the fridge these should be cooked to order Service was average a bit slow getting to us pleasant enough but no personality All in all it was ok

    Lovely experience. We had the Peter Pan afternoon tea and it was delicious! We also loved the added touch that £1 per afternoon tea is donated to St Ormond Street Hospital! The display was lovely with lots of fun details. We went on Valentine’s Day and it wasn’t too loud or crowded. We were celebrating a birthday and we received a birthday card and a little chocolate treat with a candle in on the arrival of our tray. Staff were polite and attentive. Highly recommend.
