- PPayalHungary •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoI had the pleasure of experiencing afternoon tea recently, and it was truly delightful. The food was amazing, with an impressive selection of sandwiches, scones, and pastries that were as visually appealing as they were delicious. The ambience was lovely, offering a relaxing and elegant setting perfect for such an indulgent experience. A live pianist played softly in the background, adding a sophisticated and calming touch that enhanced the atmosphere without overwhelming it. The service was incredible, attentive without being intrusive, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure every guest felt special. Overall, it was a memorable afternoon filled with wonderful food and great service! The whole experience was really enjoyable. Highly recommended!More infoOrchid Tea RoomPrice: Very Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Egham•4.8

Pancake stack with apples and yogurt and full breakfast enjoyed by our party. Our well behaved dog was made to feel welcome with a couple of treats. - RRichardGlasgow/Lanarkshire •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoI love this restaurant, my favourite in Oxford. In the summer the garden is a true delight and in the winter the ambience inside is perfect for a cozy special treat dinner in beautiful surroundings. There is much interesting art work, the menu delicious and the wines excellently chosen. The 500 cc carafe option also perfect if one of you is driving. Every time I go with great expectations and have never been disappointed in any way. This is a restaurant to be highly commended.More infoParsonage GrillPrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Oxford•4.4
- TTraceyOxford/Oxfordshire •1 review4.0Dined on 30 Oct 2024Beautiful setting - afternoon tea in front if an open fire. Staff were extremely courteous and attentive. The free chocolates for the birthday guest was a lovely touch! And there was unlimited tea. The standard scones were deliscious and the clotted cream to die for. Disappointing the jam was in jars not a dish, there was no butter and the birthday girl's gluten free scone was more like a biscuit than a scone - too thin and shattered when split. The cakes were OK but nothing special - carrot cake and chocolate brownies pretty basic, and for £85 for three I was expecting something a bit more special - maybe at least one cream cake. The gf sandwiches were too dry to eat. Overall a lovely afternoon sipping tea in front of the fire, but turned out to be not the best birthday treat for someone who's gluten free.More infoAfternoon Tea @ Holt HotelPrice: Moderate• Afternoon Tea• Bicester•4.6
