Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. Read about Norman’s making the top 100 places to eat in the UK in the open table awards and wanted to see what the hype was all about! Thoroughly deserving of this, my partner and I had two nibbles and five plates between us and I can honestly say it was the best food we have ever eaten! Definitely be going back and would definitely recommend.

Fabulous restored dye house, beautiful location and ample parking. Food was delicious and service efficient but friendly. On arrival the music was a little loud, although this was turned down shortly afterwards (we didn’t say anything) menu slightly overpriced, charging extra for veg and standard sides felt a little much. However we would definitely return for a special occasion.

Lovey atmospheric pub with nice friendly helpful staff. The soup was not quite as hot as one of us wanted but it was soon rectified and in fact was delicious. Will be returning again soon.
