The Seven Stars is a 16th century country inn situated in the heart of Surrey, close to both Dorking and Reigate, with Gatwick airport seven miles away. The Cat Inn is a 16th century free house set in the picturesque village of West Hoathly, a hilltop village set in the heart of the Sussex countryside. It is in within easy distance from the towns of East Grinstead and Haywards Heath and only 25 minutes from Gatwick Airport. The Pub with its oak beams and two inglenook fireplaces proffers a warm and cosy atmosphere in the winter, whilst our terrace is perfect to enjoy a drink and food in the summer months. Being a free house we pride ourselves in the quality of our real ale, and concentrate on local breweries, such as Harvey's of Lewes and other micro breweries. Dogs are welcome in the "pub" area of the Cat, they are not permitted in the dining room

Food was great, but the staff made the experience 1000% better. I interacted with multiple waiters and all of them were so kind and attentive. I went there for my birthday alone and they were so amazing. I had a birthday card waiting for me when I got there, got a complimentary drink and they put a candle on my dessert. I didn't feel lonely at my dinner and I was also sitting at the counter so it was interesting looking into the kitchen. I would recommend this to anyone who hasn't been before.

Recently went to the Hare & Billet for a lovely roast, was excited to see they offer a vegan wellington roast as an option online. However was disappointed upon learning that it’s no longer an option and had been taken off the menu when we were getting our orders taken. Luckily we had a fantastic server, Nathaniel who went above and beyond to offer options so that I could still enjoy the roast that I’d be looking forward too with a few tweaks here and there. Ended up having a lovely meal regardless! Thank you, Nathaniel & chefs at the Hare & Billet!
