Best Cosy Restaurants in Dunnington

Fantastic experience from start to finish. We booked so we could enjoy a Sunday roast whilst we are visiting York for the long weekend with our son. The food was exceptional and the service was amazing. Fantastic portions, loved the cauliflower cheese my fave. You all get your own side dish of veg, plus extra gravy. My son scored it 12/10 for the meal, wee took a breather between the desert, choclate brownie and ice cream. Washed down with a beautiful bottle of malbec and a couple pints of Guinness. We will definitely be back on our next trip to York. Faultless

We’d seen the restaurant on a Facebook post and that they did the best Steak & Ale pie, we were not disappointed! Cooked fresh taking about thirty minutes to prepare, we already knew this so we had a starter and we hardly noticed the 30 minutes. Friendly staff, beautiful surroundings and the music was perfect! It was our anniversary so it felt right to have the most amazing food, in such a carefully curated place. You must book ahead (we did), when we arrived, walk ins were being turned away as they were fully booked. York is worth visiting just for this dining experience alone!

Staff were lovely and were able to let us have our table early, our server was amazing and told us everything about what we had ordered and was very knowledgeable about the different teas available It was a lovely ambiance with the piano playing in the background and very chilled and relaxed to celebrate my 50th birthday

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Badger Monday Deal, what great value for money! £14 for a Burger AND a pint of San Miguel, can’t go wrong! I had the Chicken Burger & my friend had the Veggie Bean & Sweet Potato Burger - both AMAZING. Excellent service & ambience too, we love the little Dining Room area at the back. Will definitely return.

Fantastic service, lovely staff and a quiet, cosy atmosphere. Very reasonably priced, fantastic to visit and well worth the money.
