Best Hot Spot Restaurants in Southborough

Surprisingly tasty food and combinations. I wasn’t expecting the quality. This was, however, the valentines set menu. The wine list had the wrong St Emillon on (or they only held a different one to the one on the list). The price should have been about £40 not £54. I didn’t bother asking and they apologised for the mismatch. Loved the food.

We had a lovely evening at Essence and felt welcomed and at ease from the moment we arrived. Service was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the food and the fact that it was a decent portion size. We shared two starters and two mains with rice. We found the overall price pretty reasonable and will be back to sample more on the menu! Essence is definitely a great asset to Tunbridge Wells!! Thank you for a fun evening!!

What an amazing restaurant in the heart of Tunbridge Wells. It’s a shame it has taken me so long to find it. All the staff, including the doorman, were excellent and the food, ambience and singer were second to none. Such a great atmosphere. 100% we will be back soon.

I went for lunch with a friend. The menu was varied and innovative. There were classic dishes and interesting variations such as Halloumi curry, which had wonderful flavours that popped in ones mouth. As a starter I had a very interesting anchovy dish which was a true delight of smoky and sea, reminiscent of holidays in Portugal. For dessert I went old school and enjoyed a treacle tart..mmm. We shall certainly return 🥰
