Vietnamese eggs splendid, the breadMac (“Return of the Mac”) a work of genius and the banana ‘pancake’ banging. Thanks so much!More infoFKABAMPrice: Very Expensive• Fusion / Eclectic• Highbury/Islington•4.5
- SSusanWashington, D.C. Area •18 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoGreat food (though I thought it would be hot and the breakfast focaccia was cold). I love all the great vegan options, and it was really a short walk from Kings Cross. Unfortunately, the music was far too loud--it was deafening and intrusive, and the staff couldn't turn it down (it made it hard to have a conversation).More infoMildreds King's CrossPrice: Moderate• Vegan• King's Cross•4.5

We started with olives and roasted bone marrow, a favourite we order whenever possible, and this was the best we’ve ever had. Accompanying parsley salad was flavourful crunchy and fresh, perfect accompaniment along sourdough toast. For mains we shared grey mullet, grilled shorthorn, white asparagus, green salad and a sublime braised mutton. Everything was superb and we were quite full but couldn’t resist dessert. Both the lemon posset and date loaf with butterscotch sauce were incredible and we ate every last bit. Service was low key excellent and very helpful as we ordered wine by the glass having over imbibed over the weekend and server recommendations were perfect.More infoSt. JOHN SmithfieldPrice: Very Expensive• British• Farringdon•4.8
- KKyleMinneapolis - St. Paul •1 review5.0Dined on 16 Nov 2024We ate here twice while in London - the first time was so delicious we came back! Delicious homemade pasta, both regular and gluten-free for those who need it, and they're prepping right at the front window as you walk in, which is a joy to watch. Our group loved the puffy fried bread appetizer, olives and burrata con caponatina. The burrata came with a lovely ragu of root vegetables which were quite tasty. I enjoyed the carbonara the first visit, and on the second time was treated to a new menu item - Tagliatelle with a butternut squash sauce. It was so simple, rustic, yet so much flavor. The chef comes out of the kitchen when they're not busy and chats with customers, so we were able to give him our feedback first-hand. Go there, you won't be disappointed!More infoMattarello BolognesePrice: Expensive• Italian• Aldgate•3.9
