Welcome to the Butchers Arms.Our 16th century Public House is situated on Lime Street in the parish of Eldersfield near Gloucester.The Butchers Arms is first and foremost a rural pub, where the bar is the hub of life, with low ceilings, wooden floors, roaring fires and real ale served straight from the cask. The food is British and we source only the finest ingredients from local suppliers.     A while since we’ve been to The Marlborough Tavern. No particular reason hasten to add. Lovely Valentines Day menu. Enjoyed what we ordered although both meals could have been served hotter(as in heat not spice). Not too noisy although personally not a lover of dogs in restaurants. Will be back.

    A great experience from start to finish. Imaginative menu with numerous options - any of which I could happily have chosen. Friendly and helpful staff, who made us welcome. Superb attention to detail. First visit, definitely not the last.

    Four of us had lunch today. We ate from the main and set menus. Nice table location in the restaurant with plenty of space. Great food….the chef made a “special” Beef Wellington without the Parma ham for my wife who has a severe pork allergy. All the food was beautifully presented and delicious. Great service from the waiting staff…..and a fantastic choice of guest beers! Thoroughly recommend this wonderful gastro pub
