Best Restaurants for Groups in Darwen

We had an exceptionally nice meal out here! The service was second to none, and they also made sure to look after our dog too. Great food, great wine and great vibe. My only disappointment was the portion size of the Chips considering the price, and that one of the steaks we ordered could've been a little hotter in temperature.

The food was outstanding. All meals were delicious and well presented. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them. I have been a few times now and will definitely return. Loved the Christmas decorations too. Very festive

Outstanding food and value for money. The staff are incredible and were very accommodating to our Gluten-Free needs. So many GF options to explore for the future and the highlight was the GF Apple Pie for dessert!! The only slight draw back was how loud it was as we visited on a very busy Saturday night. But the overall experience was fantastic and we will be returning for sure!

Everything about this restaurant is exceptional. Every member of staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, from the second we arrived at the door until the second we left. We ordered the tasting menu and each dish was explained on delivery to the table. The food was unmistakably fresh, and perfectly cooked and presented. We each ordered a scallop as an extra and it was probably the best I have ever tasted. The ambience was very relaxed and added to a wonderful evening. This restaurant has got it just right. It is not inexpensive, but we both left having had a very positive and enjoyable evening with exceptional food and staff. I can’t wait to visit again. Thank you to all at Higher Ground.

Honestly the most amazing food i’ve ever had, the service was so speedy and welcoming!! the atmosphere was great and god don’t get me started on the focaccia, it was DIVINE!! This was the best restaurant i’ve been to in Manchester 100%
