Best Fun Restaurants in Walker

We celebrated my husbands birthday at MDRD and our server Terrance made the night unforgettable. We never looked at the menu and asked him to bring us his favorites, and he did NOT disappoint! The food was excellent, the ambiance was awesome, and Terrance’s energy was incredible and contagious. Highly recommend.

We cleaned our plates! The new sorghum pepper fried chicken was great. Our old standard of the honey dusted fried dark meat chicken was, as always, fabulous. We alllll had the collard greens- yummy! I tried the chicken tortilla soup as a side & I can't wait to have it again. Your sweet tea is the best in this area. (Being from the South, we think we're experts!)

Great experience! We went for our anniversary and they were amazing. Our table was right by the window, we had a great view of the river. I got the New York strip steak with potato purée and it was delicious, steak was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. We also got the banana crème brûlée, it was very good. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Overall amazing, we will definitely be coming here more!

We were in from out of town and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Scholar. The ambiance, we sat in the lower level, was perfect. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Our food was wonderful. We had the flatbread, crab cakes and ribeye with scallops and loved it all. Service was great!

Great food and atmosphere. The live music inside was a nice touch. The outdoor seating is nice, but quite hot in the summer.
