The Coffee Club celebrates more than three decades of good food, great service and excellent coffee.Like all good stories, it began with a quest. On a 1989 evening in Brisbane, founders Emmanuel Kokoris and Emmanuel Drivas cruised Brisbane in search of an excellent coffee, but came up empty handed. Inspired by a gap in the market, they formulated a plan to take the world by storm – to create more than just somewhere for people to meet for coffee. A casual, comfortable and affordable experience, yet sophisticated and stylish. The Coffee Club was born, opening its first store in Brisbane that same year. From 1990, new director John Lazarou spearheaded a targeted marketing plan aimed at putting The Coffee Club front and centre for the world to see. The brand grew exponentially, focused on not only providing a great place to meet, but to be a brand that contributes to and involves the Australian community, year after year.
