Best Restaurants for Birthdays in South Amboy

Four out of 6 picked the filet mignon and 2 ,the grouper. all enjoyed their picksThere were a variety of appetizers ,sides and desserts ,chosen which all enjoyed The portions were large enough to share. we were 6 women and were their for date night to celebrate a birthday. Our food choices were off that menu. and this was about the 5th year we have celebrated there . We were disappointed there was a $15 up charge for the steak, but still felt it was great price for the dinners .

Met friends for dinner. Food and service were very good. Next time I will go Monday-Wednesday for their dinner specials!!

Appetizers were really flavor full. Cocktails need some work. Entrees leave a lot to be desired. Food was dry. A basic hamburger should still have some flavor. Meatloaf was u recognizable as meatloaf and very dry as well. Ambience was nice and staff really very friendly and helpful. Given that there are so many options in close proximity they will need to up their flavor game to compete.

This was my first experience at LouCas, and it left a lasting impression! During my dinner with a customer, I tried the lobster ravioli, and it was exceptional. The ravioli was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked – truly one of the best I’ve had. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it an excellent choice for both professional and personal gatherings. LouCas strikes a great balance between elegant dining and a relaxed environment. If you’re looking for a BYOB spot with fantastic seafood options, I highly recommend giving it a try. I look forward to visiting again soon!

Amazing food as always. Come here all the time and feel like family when I walk in. From the manager to the waiters everyone is kind and friendly and they make you feel at home. The food is always good and has been consistently so for years. If anything it’s gotten better! I wanted to write this review to make sure I gave credit to this wonderfully run establishment. The meal we had Friday night might’ve been the best yet. Ordered the Nonna Pizza and The Calabrian chicken to share with my wife. The pizza was phenomenal and the chicken was unbelievable. I will dream about this chicken. Crispy spicy cheesy and delicious. And what a sauce! Almost a like a vodka with Real Calabrian peppers in it and when they say it’s spicy it actually is not like some watered down places that exaggerate. It’s crispy chicken with melted fresh mozz served over Al dente rigatoni in that wonderful sauce. Perfection!
