Best Brunch Restaurants in Southeast Nashville

The Valentines day tasting menu was amazing! The portions were a little on the small side at first glance, but the meal as a whole (four courses) was the perfect size. We both opted for the NY strip entree, but there was also a scallop option. Each course was easily a 4.5-5/5. Common Ground has a small, cozy atmosphere. It was pretty quiet, but we were also there late afternoon, well before the dinner rush started due to an event we were attending later. The setting is casual with a hint of fine dining, but that might also be from the Valentines Day ambiance.

Making reservations for a time we wanted was easy. Everything we ordered was great! We started with an expresso martini and a local beer and pretzels with the cheese fondue. Then dinner was the short ribs with potatoes au gratin with the mac and cheese. Dessert was the bread pudding and the molten lava butter cake with toffee bits. Yes, we ordered two desserts because we couldn’t decide.

We had a wonderful experience. There were 7 in our group. At Ryan’s recommendation we all tried the She Crab Bisque, and we all agreed it was delicious; the best we have had!! Highly recommend it. Ryan, our server was attentive and provided excellent service.

The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and they made sure our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Whether you're a local or just visiting, I highly recommend The Farmstead for anyone who appreciates fresh, high-quality food with a sustainable edge. It’s a true standout in local dining and certainly a place I’ll be returning to again and again.

This was my second experience and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the salted caramel martini is AMAZING.
