Overall a very good restaurant - food, ambience, service etc. My only gripe is that my reservation was for 5.15pm which was fine except I was not told at the outset that there was a time limit on the table. Subsequently we were asked to finish up around 7pm. We were almost ready to leave but we should have been advised when booking online or on arrival that the table would be required by 7.15pm. I never have a problem with a time limit provided I am advised in advance!! Most restaurants that have a time limit on early evening reservations have the courtesy of advising diners at latest on arrival.

Every dish was completely nailed-on. Utterly delicious, adventurous and classy cooking, served by stylish, knowledgable, engaging and engaged staff. Cracking wine list - whites served from magnums?! Wonderful! I had heard from friends and colleagues that this was going to be good, and what had promised to be excellent was over-delivered on at every point. A seriously enjoyable and enjoyably serious experience!

Went to Dublin for 6 days. Went here twice. Both times were fantastic. Our server, Niko, was exceptional. Would literally come back to Dublin (from the states) to eat here again. Both times, we had the bruschetta al pomodoro to start. Literally the best my friend and I have ever had, and she doesn’t even like tomatoes!! Bread was hot and toasty, while the tomatoes were fresh and just the right amount of juicy. You MUST drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar. First night we ordered the bolognese and the rigatoni alla norma — PHENOMENAL! For dessert, order the tiramisu. It will not disappoint. We even spoke to another guest next to us, and they said the Nutella calzone is to die for — even let us have a bite! Second night, we both ordered the ravioli and basically licked the plate clean. This time, we ordered the crème brule, and again, DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Forgot to mention, we got cappuccinos because it would not be an Italian meal if you did not end the night with espresso. Super happy we came across this place. Niko, if you’re reading this we literally love you.
