Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Lafayette

FABULOUS! We did not know what to expect from Julia’s, but we were excited to be in such an historical setting. We got to dinner early (after the Cal game), so we had drinks in their bar, which is adjacent to the restaurant. What a highlight-drinks were spectacular and old school while still being hip and cool. This is a great place for all ages in a stunning location. You really feel a part of the local history. Dinner—OUTSTANDING. All of our orders were different and really a fulfilling experience. The beauty of the building and its facilities makes this space unique, but really the team there, from the bartenders, to the host to the serving staff in the restaurant, are so professional and focused on hospitality—-something that is harder and harder to experience. We will be making this a regular part of our visits to Berkeley.

The food was as always excellent. The attentiveness of the staff was good outside of some curious lapses in time when our waitress just seemed to disappear somewhere.

We had early reservations at 5:15pm but got there even earlier but luckily they open at 4:30pm. We were promptly seated and Paul our amazing server brought us delicious crisp martinis and a yummy prawn cocktail. The dining room is tasteful and cozy. Our dinners were so good, prime rib cooked perfectly. The au gratin potato's and creamed spinach were very good. No baked potato's on the menu unfortunately and 2 options for salad, ceasar and mixed green with vinaigrette dressing but those were both yummy as well and the pear bread pudding with carmel sauce was scrumptious! Thanks for the recommendation Paul! We will definately be back!

Definitely my favorite restaurant in the Bay Area! The location is nice, parking is easy to find, and the service is wonderful. The food is always excellent and thoughtful and well presented. Always the go to restaurant for celebrations.

The tea setup was flawless, with every detail carefully considered, creating a warm and luxurious experience from start to finish. The service was truly world-class – attentive, friendly, and gracious. They even offered complimentary champagne, which added a special touch to the whole experience. Each tea and treat was delicious, with a perfect balance of traditional holiday flavors and unique twists.
