We were seated in a room normally used for large parties but that was in use for the weekend. It made for a very cozy enjoyable experience. Our server, Kayla, was very knowledgeable and attentive. Food was amazing. Fresh bread and shrimp cocktail with jumbo shrimp to start. Perfect crab bisque-so delicious! Husband had the Rib Eye, which was cooked to perfection, along with Yukon mashed potatoes and creamed corn with bacon. I had the lobster tail with the Yukon mashed potatoes and creamed corn with bacon. Too full for dessert! Perfect evening from start to finish. Very pleasant staff and wonderful food. Highly recommend!More infoJ. Gilbert’s – Wood Fired Steaks & Seafood – GlastonburyPrice: Expensive• Steak• Glastonbury•4.8
- TTracyGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoThe food was amazing. The chicken wings were large, hot and crispy. The steaks were cooked absolutely perfectly with tons of flavor. The ribeye had almost no fat on it so we got to enjoy the l entire 14oz. We tried the pistachio cappuccino with the crem brûlée for dessert and they were both absolutely delicious. The ambience is very nice in there. Simple, yet quaint. The service was also good. Server was there to get us all we needed but never felt hounded or rushed. We will definitely be returning.More info@ The BarnPrice: Expensive• American• Granby•4.8

Although we weren't seated right away the wait wasn't no more than 10 minutes as they were very busy with sold out reservations throughout the evening/night. While we waiting they came around with complimentary champagne for everyone, it was great. Food and menu were top tier and we enjoyed ourselves. I have known this restaurant for years since I was a child, so I have never been disappointed.More infoThe Mill on the RiverPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• South Windsor•4.8
- SSally1 review4.0Dined 6 days agoA bowl of delicious goulash with good bread, and the richest, most flavorful, robust coffee ever, make for a perfect and satisfying lunch on a budget! The food, as always, is outstanding. There are but a few (perhaps petty) reasons for not giving 5 stars across the board: 1. The bread rolls were really good, though serving them warm would make a very big and impressionable difference. There’s something comforting about butter melting into warm bread, so cold bread rolls are disappointing. It’s all about attention to detail. 2. The service was very good — but not exceptional. There was some waiting to get past that accounts for 4, not 5 stars. The Student Prince Prince offers unparalleled, authentic old world charm that is thankfully lovingly preserved. What a wonderful New England landmark! Thank you! Looking forward to another visit.More infoThe Student Prince CafePrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Springfield•4.6
