Best Traditional Mexican Restaurants in Mattapan

The birria, duck and mango pork tacos were extremely good along with the spicy margarita, would highly recommend. Tried the tofu taco and wasn't a fan. Usually like tofu but feel like it didn't fit with the menu and would have been much better if given a Mexican twist, it was very plain. Overall great experience, would definitely go back.

Sombra is a new restaurant to Main Street, East Greenwich. The renovation is amazing and is very beautiful. The bars (yes there are two of them) are large with plenty of seating. No matter where you are seated you can see 3 tv's which are great for any sporting events. Now to the food and drinks both of which were great! It may take a few visits to figure out the menu. However everything we had was great. We will be back!

Hadn't been here in years. Very reasonable prices, entrees under $20! Fun place for our group. Waitress was very nice, The food was very good overall. My lobster quesadillas were quite yummy but portion was small, more like an appetizer. Steak fahitas was good, steak not very tender tough and skimpy on rice/ beans. Tacos were enjoyed by 2 of our party. Mexican lasagna was a bit too spicy for the person who got it, and she didn't realize it was a vegetarian dish though ingredients were listed. , maybe should label. Chicken fahitas was generous portion and enjoyed by the party who got them. The flan was good but a bit dense.

The service was great and the food and drink was also great.
