- AAnnaToronto / Ontario •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoIt’s always a fabulous experience. We started out at the Bar having a cocktail - Arie is a doll. He really gets to know you. Dinner was outstanding. Mohammed was more than professional and accommodating. We don’t dine there often enough. Highly recommend.More infoREIGNPrice: Moderate• undefined• Financial District•4.7
- DDiannevipToronto / Ontario •26 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoAn outstanding restaurant in the Hilton Hotel in downtown Toronto. From the greeting of the hostess to the warm service offered by George our server to the food - all went beyond our expectations. Service was efficient but did not give the feeling of being rushed to ensure we were comfortably on time for the ballet we were attending just across the street. It is off the main lobby so could be noisy (the initial noise when we first arrived quickly died down), however the hostess did seat people in the area which was more remote from the lobby which did help. The only other improvement could be the seating. Cushions were provided to help, but found the banquette positioned well back from the table and the tub chairs although they looked comfortable to sit did not position those of us of short stature as comfortably for eating. However, this is definitely on my list for a return visit. Many more menu items to try out!More infoFrenchy Bar et BrasseriePrice: Expensive• French• Financial District•4.5

- MSMilenaSToronto / Ontario •5 reviews5.0Dined on 9 Nov 2024Our first visit to Chotto Matte was an unforgettable sensory experience that began the moment we stepped through the doors. Greeted warmly by the reception staff, we were immediately drawn into the vibrant ambiance—splashes of color, alluring lighting, and mellow DJ beats created an atmosphere that felt both sophisticated and inviting. Our server, Alice, was exceptional, her knowledge of the menu and genuine enthusiasm enriching our experience. We chose the Nikkei Menu Deluxe ($175 per person, with an optional wine pairing) and were treated to a carefully curated array of dishes: Shishito Peppers, Yellowtail “Nikkei Sashimi,” Toro Nigiri, Dragon Roll, Jumbo Shrimp Tempura, BBQ Huacatay Broccolini, Tentáculos De Pulpo, Black Cod Aji Miso, and Australian Grade 8-9 Wagyu. Each dish was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and executed with precision. The freshness of the ingredients stood out, while each bite offered a delightful complexity that reflected the restaurant’s fusion of Japanese and Peruvian influences. Alice took the time to describe each dish’s unique elements and frequently checked in to make sure we were enjoying every moment. Her attentiveness, combined with Hassan’s (the General Manager) thoughtful hospitality, made us feel well cared for throughout the meal, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. Chotto Matte is a must-visit for anyone looking for a dynamic dining experience. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!More infoChotto Matte TorontoPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• Financial District•4.8
