- RRoseDerbyshire •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoA fantastic Valentines afternoon tea with my husband - maitre d who welcomed us was very accommodating, friendly and efficient - she ensured my food allergies were accommodated and we were made to feel very comfortable - as we were the first there, gave us first choice of the window seats, which was very kind of her as I needed a bit more space being disabled and walking with sticks! Louis our server was also very attentive and gave outstanding customer service. The live piano player gave the whole room an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere. Neither of us drink alcohol but there was so much choice of teas, coffee and soft drinks in limitless supplies - I tried the Cylon Sapphire Blue loose tea - it had a lovely smooth taste to it which was very refreshing indeed! My husband had the Assan and later tried the Darjeeling which he too thoroughly enjoyed. I decided to try the coffee so ordered a black one but asked Louis for a recommendation on which one was the smoothest - a lovely caffetiere of rich smooth coffee - all drinks were piping hot and the loose tea had additional hot water that stayed very hot indeed. The food - each morsel was delicious - so much so I had an additional sandwich (which I’ve never done before) all the accompanying savouries were perfect! The scones were so light they simply melted in your mouth - the other cakes were so well presented it was a shame to eat them but the tangy orange maccaron was unbelievable - I’m not keen on chocolate desserts but I’ve now been converted as the dark chocolate was amazing and the mousse filling as light as a feather The whole experience was on par with Claridges in London - it was that good! The set menu did not disappoint and we can highly recommend this so book a table soon!More infoBettys Café Tea Rooms - HarrogatePrice: Very Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Harrogate•4.7

- MMollyYorkshire •3 reviews4.0Dined on 21 Dec 2024Lovely afternoon tea in the Garden Room. The sandwiches were nice and the scones were great, they were warmed and served with jam and clotted cream. We had the festive afternoon tea which meant the cakes were festive themed, I would prefer them be the usual cakes. I wasn’t a fan of the Christmas pudding or mince pie flavour. Overall, it was great. I would go back for regular afternoon tea but not the festive one due to the cakes. Service was amazingMore infoAfternoon Tea @ The Garden RoomPrice: Expensive• Afternoon Tea• York•3.8
