- TTonyLondon •2 reviews5.0Dined on 6 Mar 2025My family and all our friends rate Grumbles more highly than any other restaurant in the area for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere, its simplicity, the quality of the food, speed of service, and attentiveness of the staff. We basically go hardly anywhere else. It is just a tiny bit off the beaten track, in Pimlico (Churton Street), but only 5 to 6 minutes walk from Victoria Station (straight up Wilton Street past Sainsburys, on into Denbigh Street, left at the lights and it's on your right) - so easy to get to, and well worth the effort. The staff retention rate is also most impressive - some have been there years, betokening a happy working atmosphere which transfers itself into the overall feel of the place. - PParVIPLondon •31 reviews4.0Dined on 29 Nov 2024We had some issues with several of the dishes. In particular it seemed the kitchen, on this occasion, struggled to deliver fish dishes that were not far too overcooked - not great when you're asking for things to be rare or medium. And even if you're not asked (as was the case with one of these dishes) they should not be prepared like that. First time here and whilst not a great fan of the low tables and chairs we had an enjoyable time. Until... ca 2.45pm when all of the restaurant, literally every table, became an afternoon tea party. That drastically changes the end of a lunch experience and not for the better. We decided against having a pudding and more wine and fled the scene. Shame. Standout service delivered by Valentina.More infoJean-George’s at The ConnaughtPrice: Expensive• Bistro• Mayfair•4.8
