Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Centennial

This was our first time at Stellar Jay, and we were delighted with everything. Our server Preston was very gracious and attentive - he had a wonderful sense of how we wanted to be served. The manager Rhea (we had met before during a tour of the Populus, which they run on Thursdays) came over to say hello - she was lovely and calm. This beautiful restaurant was nearly full on a Monday night. The food was fantastic - the two of us split an appetizer (mushroom tempura), entree (steak skewers) and vegetable (beets). Everything was delicious. We were surprised at how big the portions were and ended up taking leftovers home, which the staff not only kindly boxed but labeled and bagged.

Perfect Landing isca favorite for dinner but we decided to try Sunday lunch for the first time. The friendly greeting was appreciated and set a great tone for the occasion. We were celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary. A prompt and friendly welcome from a cheerful and professional server who kept sure our needs were met and the food well prepared. He served some of the best Bloody Marys we have had in this area. We ordered the soup and salad combo for our entree and chose BLT wedge salads served with a generous bowl of the best clam chowder we have ever had, even having moved here from San Francisco. For dessert we celebrated by sharing a terrific crème brûlée with berries. The price was reasonable and there were several families with children among adults of all ages. This hidden treasure is becoming our go to for special events and sometimes reservations are not available as apparently Perfect Landing is the favorite for a lot of people. I'm thinking we need to have more special events. LBaker

Overall great experience. We kind of got off to a rough start with the host. we wanted to know if they had drinks while we waited for our table all he could seem to say is we have a lounge. We asked if there was a bar available while we waited he said all we have is a lounge. I asked are we able to get drinks he said we had a lounge not a bar. So we went next door and had a few drinks until we waited for our reservation. Then we came back in 15 minutes before a reservation he escorted us to the lounge and then asked us if we wanted a drink! But other than that it was a great experience great food great waiter! I think for a big event we will be back.

We love going to Shanahan’s Steak House. Yes, it’s expensive and Yes, it’s absolutely worth it. Everything is first-class from the moment the valet greets you. The staff is very friendly and VERY customer focused. The quality and presentation of the food is unmatched by any steak house I have ever dined at - especially the quality of the meat! Outstanding. The steaks and chops are incredible and consistently prepared to my liking, as are the seafood items. The apps and sides are likewise terrific (the lobster Mac and Cheese is one of my favorites). The wine selection is extensive.

Great food. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Nice spot for lunch and/or dinner
