Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Boonton

CL is an old gem. In fact, I can't even remember the first time I went, and recently, started going there for breakfast. Service is always great (was exceptionally great today) and food is never disappointing. It's a rare eatery in NYC that has survived and thrived. I saw today it was voted one of the best by Vogue but I did not need that confirmation. Please stay wonderful as you are.

Came for Valentine’s Day, our resy was for 9:15pm and we arrived at 8:30pm but we got seated in less than 5 minutes which was nice. The best thing we did was order multiple appetizers rather than 2 main entrees. It was nice to sample the menu and the food was AMAZING. (the drinks too!)

As I had requested a table next to the fireplace was waiting for us. They are no longer a byob but the drink selections were excellent. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Food was amazing! It was nice and quiet so we could talk and actually hear each other lol. A wonderful place that we will frequent!

The food as usual was amazing the service was on point.

It’s our first time at this place, even though we’ve been seeing it for over two decades. In short, we were quite pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food, as it was light but very flavorful - not as salty as we thought we’d get from almost any Italian restaurant we’ve been to, some of which are very good in their own right. However, this lightness in taste stood out, be it the prosciutto in the salad or the clams in pasta. We’ll come back for sure.
