Since 1746, the building that houses this tavern has played a part in the establishment of our nation; first as a respite for stagecoach travelers expanding westward and later as a covert rendezvous point for George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and other leaders of the American revolution. It is believed that during the infamous winter of 1777–1778 at Valley Forge, a major figure in the Continental Army, master military mind Friedrich Von Steuben, designated the tavern as a secret black powder munitions stash for Continental Army couriers. We had such a great experience. The Perfect and Proper Manhattan's were both quite PERFECT. We took advantge of the specials....the Beef Wellington and Veal Parm were outstanding. Never a bad idea to finish with a great piece of chocolate cake. Service was exceptional, all around A+ dining experience.

Absolutely wonderful! The crispy Olives were so yummy and our entrées were delicious! Two of us had the sesame crusted Tuna which was perfect, one had the salmon and she couldn't stop raving and the other had the pasta special which was a schnitzel. Our view was fantastic, the waiter was very attentive and personable and the overall vibe was great! Run. Don't walk. Go to Thyme!

I had the french onion soup and mac & cheese. The soup was excellent, mac & cheese was okay but not great. My son had the french onion soup and mushroom risotto, which is always excellent! My daughter-in-law had the soup and a wrap. They ordered the bread pudding for dessert, which they said was very good, I had the cheesecake which was also very good.

My second visit was nothing short of phenomenal, celebrating a birthday with my wife and family. The charming indoor atmosphere set the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. The staff made us feel incredibly special with their warm, attentive service, and the food—wow! Generous portions of authentic Northern Italian cuisine left us all completely satisfied. It’s a true gem, and I can’t wait to bring my favorite wine and experience it all over again.
