Best Contemporary French Restaurants in Thornhill

Went on a Monday night. Particularity of that day of the week: cocktails are all at $10, so we tried them out and were very pleased by how balanced and tasty they are. We were not disappointed by the food either, we got the 2 course menu which while on the common and expensive side (in line with similar French restaurants though) gave us a lot of yummy options. The appetizers and steak were delicious. Again compared to other similar French spots this one is very legit and I’d say it’s more authentic than most as well. Ambiance was cozy and noise levels quiet which was so refreshing. Service is amazing too, made us want to come back again.

We had the tasting menu including the wine pairing. Everything from food to service to ambiance was incredible. You never disappoint Auberge

Each person in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The Short Rib was recommended and mine was pretty close to outstanding. I had the Fois Gras as a starter and although it was very good, it was served a little colder than I think it should have been. Our server was helpful and attentive but it appeared she was the primary server for the entire restaurant. She did a marvelous job (and did get some periodic help as the night progressed). All in all, Est is well worth a visit. We'll definitely be back !
