This is absolutely my favorite restaurant! Is the only place that I go where I never put anything on the steak. No salt or pepper or anything. The way it is seasoned and the way it comes is perfect every time. I’ve been going to J. Gilbert for 25 years and it’s amazing that I’ve never had to send anything back to the kitchen. They are so careful in their preparation and so precise. Such high-quality food. It’s also the restaurant I go to for every one of my birthdays!More infoJ. - JJillVIPNew York City •12 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe had an absolutely fantastic experience at Halyard. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive, making us feel truly welcomed. The food was just as impressive—each dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. We started with the tuna tartare and the calamari, which came with a delightful surprise—perfectly blistered shishito peppers that added just the right amount of heat. For our main course, the halibut was cooked to perfection, and the Brussels sprouts were crispy and full of flavor. The cheese-laced mashed potatoes were an indulgent, creamy dream. Dessert was an espresso-infused crème brûlée that was both unexpected and absolutely delicious. Halyard exceeded our expectations in every way.More infoThe Halyard Restaurant at Sound ViewPrice: Expensive• American• Greenport•4.5
