Best Pizzerias in Countryside

Three of us dining, ordered two pizzas and salad, and shared. It was plenty. The pizzas (we had one white and one yellow) were very good. The fungo in white was great. The salad had everything we like and was large enough for 3-4 people. Both pizzas were prepared as expected, based on the techniques advertised, and were really good - thin dough except for the outer crust, cooked completely without being dry or crunchy. Edges properly "burned and blistered". Service was excellent, but we were literally the first customers of the day. It was our first visit, and our server was informative, polite and patient.

Pizza Portofino is one of my favorite spots in the city. The garlic bread and truffle pizza (request hot honey, trust me) are GAME CHANGER. I went with a few friends and we all agreed that they both redefined garlic bread and pizza (at least in Illinois) respectively. Great service and great vibes!

Our server was attentive, friendly, and always a step ahead, ensuring glasses were never empty and dishes arrived promptly. Managing a group of this size can be tricky, but the staff handled it seamlessly. Now, on to the food—simply delicious! Every dish was a hit across the table. From the appetizers to the desserts, the flavors were fresh and vibrant. The pizza was a standout, while the Lou Malnati’s salad left everyone raving. Even the kids in our group enjoyed their meals, which were thoughtfully tailored to their tastes. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for our gathering. The spacious seating allowed everyone to converse comfortably, and the atmosphere struck just the right balance between lively and intimate. Overall, Lou Malnati’s exceeded our expectations. If you’re planning a group outing or a family dinner, this place is a must-visit. We can’t wait to return!

The pizza and breadsticks were so good! I loved the vibe. The Christmas decor was beautiful! I wish I lived closer.
