Best Gluten Free Restaurants in Columbia Heights / Brightwood

This was my second visit to Gypsy Kitchen, and it was just as fantastic as the first! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it a great spot for a night out. Our waiter, Andrew, was excellent—very helpful throughout the dinner, offering great recommendations from cocktails to dessert. We revisited some of our favorites, and they did not disappoint. The hummus is amazing (pro tip: order an extra piece of pita bread). The potato dish and pork shoulder were equally delicious, packed with great flavors. For dessert, we tried the pear tart, which had more of an apple pie texture than a traditional tart, but it was still enjoyable. I also had an Old Fashioned, which was well-made and a great way to round out the meal. Overall, a great experience once again. Highly recommend this spot for excellent food, drinks, and service!

I can’t get over how incredible our server was. Elvis immediately acknowledged that we were vegetarians and had accommodations made for even the fixed Valentine’s Day menu. We truly appreciate it. And not to forget, but the food was incredible. I would go back and eat an entire bowl of the beet salata

The drinks, food, atmosphere, and service were 10/10. Extra shout out for moving my reservation two times the last minute on what is probably the busiest day of the year (Valentine's day). We are definitely making this place a staple. Elegant, modern/hip vibe and very professional service.

We had an amazing evening. The food was amazing. Thank you to Fernando, who made the night unforgettable. His attention to detail and warm hospitality made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. He anticipated our needs, made thoughtful recommendations, and added a personal touch that elevated the entire evening. It’s rare to find such genuine service these days, and Fernando truly made us feel at home. We can’t wait to return! Great service in all parts of the experience, from accommodating a last-moment addition to the party, through explanation of menu items and seasonal specials, to expertly handling an unexpected spill. This places seems to every day earn its great reputation!
