Walk into TORC and you might notice the music. It's rock & roll, blues, or soul, and it's undeniably on. You might notice the energy — it's high. And you'll definitely notice our bar. It's busy serving well-made cocktails and pouring rare wines we're proud to say you probably won't find anywhere else by the glass. There are no white tablecloths. No dabbing the corners of your mouth. No pomp, but lots of circumstance. And perhaps the only reason you noticed the aforementioned is because you haven't tasted our food. That's when the music fades into the background. Join us.

Chef Hakan is a second-generation baker who learned his craft in his uncle's bakery in Istanbul. His love for baking started out with making pastries and sourdough bread at first. Hit by a pizza obsession later on, similar to Anatolian flatbread, Chef Hakan studied, experimented, and observed various pizza-making methods. He participated in pizza expos, visited pizza restaurants, and tasted different styles of pizza around the world until buying a nice wood-fired pizza oven and creating his own recipe. Then time came for Hakan to open up his restaurant. Previously known as Napa Baking Company is now serving in Napa as Croccante. Chef Hakan offers long-fermented Pan-style Detroit and Chicago thin tavern style pizza. Croccante currently holds an award from 50 top pizza, as one of the 50 top pizzerias in USA in the "excellent" category as well as a nomination by SF Chronicle as One of the Top Pizzerias in the Bay Area.

While Slanted Door is opening this new location in Napa, it all began with an idea to open a Vietnamese crêpe stand or a noodle shop in the Tenderloin neighborhood. Charles Phan searched for a location but was told that there were already too many Vietnamese restaurants in the area. He moved the search to his own neighborhood: the Mission. He quickly found an available space on Valencia Street. The Slanted Door was born in 1995 with the goal of elevating Vietnamese food to the next level—modern design, sustainable local ingredients, quality teas, and wine pairings. The Slanted Door was quickly recognized and became too small to accommodate the reservation requests. The growing restaurant moved to South of Market in 2002. It was there that the team integrated a craft cocktail program, which was one of the first restaurants in San Francisco to offer craft cocktail menus. The Slanted Door moved again to the San Francisco Ferry Building in 2004.

Celadon continues to excel in menu variety, service, ambiance and value in Napa. The portions are large and easily split. The cassoulet was super- and very authentic. We also got a 3 course dinner for $49- excellent value ! only negative was our glass of red wine (house red and a Cabernet) was refrigerated and served ice cold- not sure how they got that so wrong?

The food and service was great. There was a delay getting our entrees due to a large party getting served, so what is typically a ten minute lag between apps and entrees was more like 30. They were nice and apologized. They probably should have offered a complimentary dessert given we’ve been back several times. We brought local friends who’d never tried this spot and they loved the food. Maybe earlier in the evening so its less likely to be busy? Im not sure this place performs well when busy…or, like a lot of places in our post pandemic world…there just isn’t the same amount of staff available in the labor pool.

We were celebrating a friends birthday with a party of 12. From booking the reservation to coordinating with staff about bringing in a birthday cake, the experience was wonderful. We had also brought several bottles of bubbles and wine and ordered wine for the table, and our server, Jeremiah, took extra care every step of the way. The food came out hot, delicious, and abundant, and the pace of service was great.
