- JJamesWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThe French onion soup was absolutely incredible. I have been searching for a good French onion soup to rival that of a restaurant near my college campus in Philadelphia for over 30 years and finally found it. The fried chicken was amazing. It was actually better than fried chicken I’ve had in Asheville from a place that specializes in good fried chicken. The care and attention they give to preparing the food as rival only by the care and attention they give to guests. The staff, which is friendly knowledgeable and accommodating, is a big asset. The owner also cares greatly about his guests’ experiences. I will go back soon to try some of their other dishes.More infoShilling Canning CompanyPrice: Expensive• American• Navy Yard•4.5

- FFoodiWashington, D.C. Area •20 reviews5.0Dined on 16 Dec 2013Had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. We sat at the counter and were able to watch the chef make everything. Since we went on a Monday, wine was market price, so we enjoyed the salmon special and pork chop with a bottle of wine. Too bad they're closing the restaurant portion, because we would definitely go back. Looking forward to taking some cooking classes there though!More infoOpen KitchenPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Falls Church•4.2
