Best Open Kitchen Restaurants in West Austin / Westlake

Incredible food, service was amazing, my coconut margarita was insanely delicious, and the ambiance was perfect.

We went on Valentines night, which I’m sure is a challenge for any restaurant, but everything was perfect. Seated us on time, food and service were great. You do have to valet park here (was only $10 before tip) if you don’t try to find your own parking, but even that on such a busy night was really good. This is one of our go to restaurants and often bring our out-of-town family and friends here. 

We had a wonderful early Valentines date at Verdad. We had hoped for a quiet, intimate table, but this is not the set up for this restaurant. But…..DO NOT STOP READING THIS REVIEW!!! We were seated at a window table in the bar area, and were blown away by the experience. Our server was very pleasant, knew the menu well and presented each item with such flare and creativity! The food and drinks were beyond amazing. It was a pleasantly memorable experience that I highly recommend.

Perla's is Excellent! Went for a date-night dinner. Previously had only done the patio (apps/ bloodys, etc... which is great as well!) but do yourself a favor and have a proper meal there. Service is attentive and professional. Quality of food and flavor profile is something else ! Kicking myself for neglecting this spot the last 15+ years.

Finally, a dining experience in Austin that truly lives up to the hype! Hestia's dedication to live-fire cooking creates magic on every plate. From the moment we walked in, the staff treated us like valued guests, demonstrating an impressive knowledge of both the menu and cooking techniques. The pork belly was nothing short of revelatory - perfectly rendered with a crackling exterior that gave way to melt-in-your-mouth meat beneath. My wife's bavette was cooked to absolute perfection, showcasing the restaurant's mastery of open-flame cooking. The attention to detail in every dish proves why Hestia stands at the pinnacle of Austin's dining scene. What truly sets Hestia apart is the combination of exceptional food and impeccable service. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and their passionate knowledge of each dish enhanced our dining experience. The elegant atmosphere and open kitchen add to the theatrical experience of watching the chefs work their magic over the flames. Without hesitation, this was the best meal we've had in Austin. If you're looking for a truly memorable dining experience, Hestia is absolutely worth every penny.
