The restaurant is named after America’s most famous founding father, Benjamin Franklin. While he was pinnacle in America’s birth, he also became the first ambassador to France. While on trips to Paris, he would wine and dine with the best of them and when he returned, he would bring back the French culture, food and wine, and share it with our new nation. We were there for a celebration and it was excellent and fun! The ambience is the perfect balance of casual elegance. Everything was delicious. Highlights were the olive oil poached halibut, perfectly roasted duck breast, and desserts. The pastry chef is an award winning artist. Desserts are innovative and satisfying. Especially the creme brulee and the Benny Bar.

Went on a Friday night for dinner and karaoke. The food, drinks, staff, and patrons were great. We had so much fun celebrating our friend's birthday. She said it was the most fun she had in a long time. We will be back.

We love going to the Roger Sherman Inn. It’s very pretty, quiet and upscale. However, the last couple times we’ve been there the service has not been terrific. Not sure if they’re understaffed or if the particular waiter we had last night was new, but extremely slow. The owner was dining in the restaurant at the table next to us with her family. When they were finished with dinner, she was actually clearing plates and taking drink orders. I still love this restaurant.
