Drawing on the celebration and elegance of old school entertaining, we envisioned a space for friends and neighbors to enjoy amazing food, cocktails, conversation and great music. Our lounge is a swank living room, furnished with hand-picked finds from antique and vintage markets from Palm Springs to Portland. Our mezzanine dining room features a rotating menu of fresh, seasonal supper-fare with local and sustainably sourced meats, fish and produce. MUA is known for its open atmosphere, eclectic décor, art events and, of course, its delicious food. Family owned and run Mua was one of the first restaurants to open in what was then Auto Row in Oakland, in 2008.     We had such an amazing time! We ordered the Dinner Party Menu, and it was a perfect mix of everything. All of the food was absolutely delicious, and we scraped every single plate.     Who knew Oakland goes off like this? Incredible open space in what I assume is a converted warehouse. I sat upstairs, overlooking the main dining area, which was perfect. Really diverse crowd, fantastic set list by the DJ, great overall energy. Shared the Caesar salad to start, which frankly could have been half the size (it was two full romaine hearts) and the 1lb Ribeye with fries. Finished with the bread pudding. That was more than enough. Great service. Note that 20% gratuity is automatically added, which I was fine with, but just beware so you don't double-tip.

    Scallop risotto, French dip sandwich, and black cod couscous were all awesome! Definitely worth trying. But my fave was the Brussels sprouts!!! They were crunchy with just the right amount of sweetness, vinegar, and that panasan cheese. So good!
