I can't believe it took me so long to come here! The setting is amazing and service wonderful. Food is delicious too.

Attentive service w/o being too much. Fun and modern ambiance w/ some touches of warmth - like the fireplace :). Unique menu items and flavors that work together is #1 reason we go. San Diego has some good restaurants but... most restaurants serve the same food as each other - just w/ their twist. I say "So what"? That's boring and I can make most of that food at home for much less and at least equally as good. Herb & Wood has a menu that stands out and the flavors work so well together no matter what we order. Not inexpensive by any means but not taking-advantage-of-you pricing either. High quality, well prepared, and thoughtful menu items with a true connection to "flavor town"! Eggplant, Branzino, Apple/Fig Salad, Hamachi, Date Cake... all winners. It's a special occasion restaurant mostly but I see it as a regular go-to when I crave food that stands out!

Fantastic steakhouse with real gourmet twist and superb service! Went for my honey’s 50th and they couldn’t have treated us better. Steak was delicious & perfectly cooked, wine list is excellent & they were great about accommodating food allergies. Thank you Lisa & team - We will go back again & again!

Dined on a Thursday, early dinner. Quiet with a great ambiance. Sat at the bar. Service was on point. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Great Happy Hour. Skirt Steak shareable was so fire we had to order it twice. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!
