- CchinkisistavipSan Francisco Bay Area •176 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe celebrated my mother’s birthday and we received the best service from the dining room team. I have to say today’s service surpassed the food even. Needless to say the food is dependably tasty. We had the shrimp cocktail - very fresh; the veal scallopini sec portion is generous, so is the side dish broccolini, the other entree is a favorite - shrimp scampi with linguine. When the dessert was brought, one server (who’s an opera singer, I believe) sang Happy Birthday in a most beautiful voice. So surprising, so special. It was an overall one of the best birthday meals my mother ever had.More infoOriginal Joe's WestlakePrice: Moderate• Italian• Daly City•4.8

- BbrittavipSan Francisco Bay Area •16 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoI used to love this place, then I moved abroad for 20 years, but went here again, and it is just as good as I remember!! grilled perfection! the dining room is cozy and warm, the booth seats comfortable. our server was the best - attentive but not intrusive - he really did an outstanding job (don't recall his name but has worked there 9 years and has 2 little kids, brown hair with some facial hair - shout out to him - he did a great job!) appetizers arrived lightning fast - aubergine and warm pita, grilled stuffed calamari(YUM), lamb meatballs (nomnomnom), baked gigante beans. mains were lamb skewers (yum) and branzino(5star), which was insanely delish and highly recommended. dessert was baklava, which I don't normally love, but theirs was sooo good and spicy, I highly recommend, and we got an ice cream sundae which was enormous and tasty. im so pleased Kokkari is still around and better than ever. great meal - thanks to the entire team!! can't wait to go back !!More infoKokkari EstiatorioPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Financial District / Embarcadero•4.9

From the warm welcome when we arrived to the excellent servers and the delicious food, it was an all star visit. It's no wonder Foreign Cinema is an icon in San Francisco. - SSamAtlanta Metro •7 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWhat a find! Food choices were great- love the fact they are shareable as it's hard sometimes for my wife and me to try different things at a restaurant with individual/full portions. Quality was excellent as dishes are innovative, accurately described, and tasty. Don't pass on the caviar potato cloud (insider tip- order one for yourself instead of sharing)! And the drinks are also innovative and quite balanced in their flavor profiles!More infoThe ProgressPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Western Addition•4.9
