Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness

We dined in the private upstairs room with a party of seven people. The menu was huge and was the same one as served in the main restaurant. The service, including the Sommelier, was superb, and the management was very cooperative and forthcoming in accommodating our requests.

Akikos is as close to a seaside table in Japan with bountiful choices of all the delicacies of the Pacific Ocean. Sushi was prepared with attention accenting the fish's natural flavor with ginger or wasabi. We had 2 birthdays to celebrate and Akikos' staff provided extra service to celebrate!

Delicious food and wonderful staff! We loved the view, the experience, and the meal was just enough without being too much. Fun cocktails and we added the crispy duck. A must!

Excellent - coming back after a few years! Always great food, elegant service and beautiful space. Enjoyed meeting the chef once more. Happy to see this pace doing so well.

Came in with a hankering for a burger. Got the Fancy Pants and added bacon and a fried egg. Was delicious and killed the craving. I will say it was a bit pricey but was delicious nonetheless.
