It all started in 1992, when Annette and Gerner Andresen opened the Lighthouse Café in Sausalito in its present form. The Andresens, both born in Denmark, had recently immigrated to the U.S., and along with them they brought the Scandinavian flair for simplicity, good quality and tasty food. Such a lovely afternoon lunch. The salmon, avocado hummus, and the mint chip profiteroles were perfectly prepared and so flavorful. Service was top notch too. Thank you!

Monday night was the time to experience the great service, food, and ambience at the D'Angelo Pizza. Both the bar and table service were excellent. The seafood was perfectly seasoned and the pizza Something to write home about.

I usually don’t review restaurants, however I feel the need to do so about Piatti. My Mom and I now dine regularly every Thursday night. We eat out a lot and have many choices. The reason we have made Piatti our special place is for several reasons. 1). Greeted by lovely hosts 2) Service is exemplary. Very well paced as we like to enjoy our cocktails before ordering. Our usual server is Luis, who goes above and beyond. However, if it’s not Luis, Vicky and the other staff are fantastic. 3) Great menu. We always find something we love and food is prepared as ordered. 4) Wonderful ambiance. We thought we’d only enjoy the beautiful water views during summer, but agreed tonight it was quite cozy for fall and winter. All in all, Piatti continues to check all the boxes for a weekly special night with my 96 year old mother. We look forward to coming back again next week!
