Best Family Style Restaurants in Reading

We had a great time at Josephine. Very excellent service and the food and wine were tasty. Great place for a date night or after work drinks.

Neighborhood spot we had not visited in a while but were happy to have picked it for an early dinner. What stands out the most is the consistently excellent service. The young staff is clearly trained in how to provide attentive service without hovering. The service was so good , it highlighted the mediocre service of other restaurants we normally frequent. Bueno Malo management clearly have a mission to train their staff. Food is on the pricey side for Cal/Mex but portions are generous and delicious . The beans and rice for the table are a nice touch but lack flavor. Chips and salsa are an up charge but the chips get refills. We were happy to have rediscovered this local gem and will be coming back soon.

Crab fried rice and the Lobster Roll were outstanding

The front end manager handling reservations on a busy Friday night was so nice and accommodating. He even brought my jacket over to the table that I left at the bar. Service was a bit slow but understandable as it was busy. The food was good, such large servings! Next time, I’ve got to try the Regina pizza!

Each time my fiancé and myself go to Polcari’s the experience is top notch. The food is always outstanding. The waitress we have last night was phenomenal. This is why we pick this for our anniversary each year.
