Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! From the moment we sat down, Tek (our server) made this an unforgettable evening in the best possible ways. The food was spectacular. I had the sole - which, having had an office in Paris for many years, I rarely dare to order in the US. It was amazing! My wife had the most delectable scallops plus stuffed shrimp. We were celebrating our anniversary, they made this one of the best celebrations ever! Samara (the manager) stopped by as well to express her gratitude. What an amazing evening!!!

First time. Was a little concerned after reading other reviews and map didn’t get us to the front of the restaurant. But from there, all was stellar. Service, ambiance, food were over the top skilled, delightful and delicious. We canceled our reservation for my husband’s birthday so we could come here instead. We’re fussy, so this is a huge tribute.

This is a nice restaurant; however, service was not particularly attentive, one of us didn't get the meal they ordered, and almost everything in every dish had WAY TOO MUCH pepper in it to be truly enjoyable. A true shame because the overall quality of the food, otherwise, was quite good. Generous portions for each of the 4 dishes we ordered. Nice presentation. Just too much pepper.
